What a mind-blowing experience! From the moment we stepped onto the cozy narrowboat, we were blown away by the thoughtful touches and incredible amenities. The owner had stocked the kitchen with an array of spices, condiments, and even cereal, saving us from the hassle of buying extras. We loved having easy chairs to lounge around the unused log burner, creating a super cozy atmosphere. The abundance of useful tourist information on board helped us plan our days, ensuring we visited the best places to eat and explore. The nearby onshore toilet and shower facilities were impeccably clean and convenient. Plus, having a cafe and ice cream shop close by in Helix park was a true treat. Sitting on deck and just being with the jaw-dropping Kelpies was pure magic, especially when they were illuminated at night. We felt like VIPs with the 'magic' key that allowed us access to the park beyond normal hours. The location couldn't have been more stunning, right next to the Kelpies and within easy reach of the Falkirk Wheel. We took a taxi to the wheel and enjoyed a beautiful, leisurely walk back along the canal path. It was a relaxing and breathtaking stay that left us wanting to book again before the year ends.

Charming, well-appointed boat with easy access from the motorway. Loved being right by the Kelpies and having parking nearby. The atmosphere was lovely and the communication with the owner was excellent.
The shower area was shared and could be a bit squeamish for some. The bed on the boat was narrow and sloped towards the wall, which could be a challenge for two people.

The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with the famous Kelpies right next door, providing a majestic view. there are plenty of tourist attractions nearby, such as the Falkirk wheel, which can be easily reached by hiring electric bikes. the boat itself is well-equipped, with a cozy log burner to keep guests warm and a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep.
Some guests mentioned that the shared shower area might be a bit off-putting for those who are squeamish.

I had the most delightful stay at Marigold Sunset, a charming narrowboat nestled by the Kelpies. The boat was impeccably equipped, with everything I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location was breathtaking, with easy access to the Falkirk Wheel and stunning views of the illuminated Kelpies at night. The owner, Clare, had thought of every detail and even provided spices, condiments, and cereal to start my stay off right. The nearby onshore toilet and shower facilities were clean and convenient. I felt truly at peace sitting on the deck, admiring the majestic Kelpies. Despite a few minor issues like the small basin not holding water and a narrow bed, the overall experience was exceptional. I highly recommend Marigold Sunset for a unique and unforgettable stay.

There were a few minor issues during our stay. the portaloo had a slight issue, and the small basin in the bathroom didn't hold water.

The location was absolutely stunning, situated right next to the magnificent Kelpies. It was a privilege to be able to stay so close to these iconic Scottish landmarks. At night, when all the visitors had left, the illuminated Kelpies were truly magical. the boat itself was cozy and well-equipped. We appreciated the owner's thoughtfulness in providing spices, condiments, and even some cereal to get us started. This was a great convenience and saved us from having to buy these items during our stay.
The lack of a shower on the boat. Although there was a shower facility available on land nearby, it could be a hassle to have to go there every time we wanted to freshen up.

Our stay aboard the Marigold Sunset was absolutely breathtaking. The location, nestled right by the Kelpies, offered stunning views and a sense of tranquility. The narrowboat itself was well-appointed and charming, providing all the comforts we needed for a cozy stay. Clare, our host, had thought of everything and made sure we had a wonderful experience. The communication throughout was fantastic, and we felt well taken care of.
The shower facilities, although located beside the accommodation and resembling camping, were actually quite manageable. It didn't take long for us to get used to them, and considering the amazing experience we had overall, it was a small price to pay.
